Every two years, the FEQHA European Amateur & Youth Team Cup (often referred to as “Euro Cup”) is held. This event allowed various FEQHA affiliates to send national teams for both Youth and Amateur. If a country doesn’t have enough riders for a team, they can team up with another country to form a joined team. The Team Cup itself is a 2-day non-approved show, but there is often held a regular AQHA show on the Friday before the cup. The first Team Cup for Youth Teams was organized in Mooslargue in France in 2005. The ambition was to create a fun and competitive event for youth riders from all over Europe to network with others and have a good time. In 2008, the first Amateur Cup was organized with the same intent. The two events was combined in 2011 as the European Amateur & Youth Team Cup we know today.

Each team consists of 3 to 5 riders, and up to 2 individual riders. The competition follows AQHA rules and the riders must compete on registered Quarter Horses, though they do not need to own or lease the horse themselves. The cup is held in 8-10 disciplines, from reining, ranch, and various all-around disciplines. There are no cattle or cutting classes. Participants in each class earn points based on their placings. The country with the highest total points by the end of the show wins the Amateur/Youth Team Cup.

The next FEQHA European Team Cup will be hosted by Germany in the summer of 2025.
